Use props like his smoky clothes or cigarette ashes if you wish. Then, you get him to visualize his life without smoking - clean, clear throat and lungs, fresh smelling clothes, fresh breath, being able to run to catch a bus without feeling breathless, a long life ahead with his wife and kids because he has no fear lung cancer will shorten his life. Let him dwell in this picture for a while and ask him to feel the emotions of happiness and joy that go with it. Then, slowly get him to come out of it. To get best results, you might have to do this daily. But over time, your friend will find that his desire to smoke will die. And that's how you get someone to quit smoking by hypnosis. Will it work everytime for everyone? Not all the time, but for the most part, it will. Quitting smoking by hypnosis is a proven way to change this persistent habit.
